Ceramic Orange Seal Fishing Reel bearing four packs are an upgrade replacement to stock fishing reel bearings. These "ABEC 11 bearings" have ceramic balls with stainless steel races and retainers. Orange timken bearings have a non-contact rubber seal which allows the bearing to spin freely with out any excess drag. Ceramic will never corrode; it has less rolling resistance and is lighter and than steel. As a result ceramic bearings last longer and cast longer. All Ceramic Orange Seal fishing reel bearings are supplied lube dry (LD), no grease or oil. Lube can be supplied upon request.

Precision ball bearings in tolerance grades ABEC-5 and ABEC-11 are recommended for applications where high speed and/or extreme running accuracy is required.

These bearings have the same nominal external dimensions as equivalent size ABEC-1 grade skf bearings; however, the running characteristics and external dimensions are held to closer tolerances.

Bearings have a couple of measurements that you should be aware of. 8mm, shown with these bearings, tells you the diameter of the inner hole. This diameter matches the diameter of the axle used on the trucks. 8mm axles are by far the most common.

The next number is shown as an abec rating. This number classifies the precision of a bearing when manufactured. Abec1 is considered the lowest rating, and abec9 as the highest. An abec9 bearing will be ground or polished to a higher tolerance and in turn may be faster and last longer. A very precise bearing will have reduced friction, friction causes heat, and heat ultimately will cause bearings to fail.We always recommend that you clean and lube bearings regularly. A well maintained Abec5 bearing will outlast an Abec11 bearings that is not maintained.

Black Panther ABEC 11's are smooth. A step above both the ABEC 3 and 5. These bearings consist of long lasting polished ball bearings and races, lubricated with genuine Teflon oil, speed washers, and Derlin core for strength and resistance. Removable rubber coated shield makes for easy cleaning and water resistance. Set of 8 includes free nachi bearing spacers.
